Small farm, slow craft.
Laurel Gap Farm sits on a handful of acres tucked between the Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee Mountains. We harvest or grow the herbs on our property that go into our products. We keep bees for honey and beeswax, and make small batches of soap from our raw cows milk. Tintures and herbal/essential oil products are also made at our home.
We started making soap and other apothecary products in our farmhouse kitchen after years of buying it and struggling to find fragrance free/clean options. What began as a batch or two for family turned into something we're proud to share.
Every bar is cold-processed and cures four to six weeks before it leaves the farm. Our honey comes from hives that we tend ourselves. When we can't grow or make something ourselves, we source from local resources.
Because we're small, we can be careful. Orders are packed by hand within a few days, and if we're ever out of something, we'll tell you exactly when the next batch will be ready. We are a family of 5 and work as a team to grow, care for our land, tend to our animals and make/package products that come to your home. We wholeheartedly believe in stewardship of the resources that have been entrusted to us. We work to restore and not strip the land that we have been blessed to call home.
