Small farm, slow craft.
Laurel Gap Farm sits on a handful of acres tucked between the mountains of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. We grow and harvest many of the herbs used in our products right here on our property. We keep bees for honey and beeswax and make small batches of soap using raw milk from our cow. Our tinctures and herbal and essential-oil products are also handcrafted in our farmhouse.
We began making soap and other apothecary products in our farmhouse kitchen after years of struggling to find clean, fragrance-free options for our family. What started as a batch or two for personal use grew into something we are proud to share with others.
Every bar of soap is cold-processed and cured for four to six weeks before it leaves the farm. Our honey comes from hives we tend ourselves. When we cannot grow or produce an ingredient here, we carefully source it from trusted local suppliers whenever possible.
Because we are small, we can be careful with every detail. Orders are packed by hand within a few days, and when an item is unavailable, we will let customers know when the next batch is expected. We are a family of five who work together to care for our land and animals and to make and package the products that come into your home.
We wholeheartedly believe in being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us. Our goal is to restore and care for the land we have been blessed to call home.
